  • Concept of the work "Narcisse":

    The work "Narcisse" , was made by the artist for her series of works entitled "Metaphors of feelings" . In this series, the artist uses situations, objects, real places in modern life where people interact, through an "Imaginary Reality", to demonstrate feelings and emotions and reflections linked to the soul.

    In this particular work, the artist makes a reinterpretation of the famous work "Narciso", by the great Italian painter Caravaggio (Baroque era in Italy). Narcissus is an interpretation of Greek mythology, which tells the story of a young hunter fascinated by his own beauty. Narciso fell in love intensely, only with his own image, reflected in the water. In Greece, his image is attributed to the maximum symbol of vanity.

    In the interpretation that the artist proposes in this work, there is interference introducing the feminine image, of man-woman love and from that interference, Narcissus does not die contemplating only himself, as the Greek myth tells, but lives when he really finds true love of a woman.

    The questioning proposed in the work is to allow love, not only man-woman, but love for life.
